HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This unit covers the knowledge and skills required to provide cardiopulmonary rescuscitation, manage an emergency, use an automatic external defibrillator (AED), understand DRSABCD and the First Aider's legal responsibilities.

Provide CPR is trained and assessed in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
 

Introduction:

 

This is a blended course with self-paced online learning (e-Learning) and face-to-face training. Before attending the face-to-face training, students will need to complete their e-Learning which can be done in one sitting or over several sessions. It is recommended that students allow up to 2.5 hours for reading and e-Learning. The face-to-face training
and assessment component requires 2 hours in a classroom environment.
